The meet is a long way off, September 14-16th in fact, but I'm already excited about the weekend. I went to the event last year which was held in Milton Keynes and had a wonderful time. This year the event takes place in Brighton which is a lovely coastal town in the east of England. It was wonderful to meet many of the other UK authors and readers last year and I look forward to seeing them all again this September.
I recently learned that author Jordan Castillo Price is going to be guest speaking this year so I can't wait to meet her. I'm a huge fan of her work so there might be a fan girl moment although I'll try my very hardest not to squeal. :P
For anyone that lives in the UK and can attend, I highly recommend the day, it's a great chance to get together and have a natter about our favourite topic, namely GLBTQ books. Of course, everyone is welcome and it would be lovely to see some people from other countries attend this year. We had a couple last year that came from the Netherlands, but no further, so If you're an avid reader or writer of GLBTQ fiction and fancy a break in the UK, this is your chance to visit and meet many UK authors. Double whammy! Lol!
