I got tagged by Angel Martinez to share 7 sentences or paragraphs of my current wip.
1. Go to page 77 (or 7th) of your current ms
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines - sentences or paragraphs - and post them as they're written. No cheating.
4. Tag 7 other authors. No cheating.
Okay so I might have cheated a little bit. I'm not very good with rules :P There may be slightly more than 7 sentences here(or paragraphs), but it is from page 7! That's got to count for something, right? This is from one of my current wips, Mobsters and Miracles. Hope you enjoy!
“Easy,” I soothed. He opened his baby blues and met my gaze and there was suddenly no air left in the room. Nervous flutters began in my stomach and then I was a heartbeat away from telling him I loved him. I wanted to reach out and touch him - to run my fingers over his strong jaw and then pull him into my arms and assure him I had it covered, that we were getting the fuck out of there in one piece.
Well that's it folks. Looking forward to reading all the others! Have a great day!

But of course I couldn’t tell him that. My arms were tied behind my back and any great admission I might have made that would surely have ruined our friendship got stuck in the back of my throat.
“What the hell happened?” he asked, closing his eyes against another wave of pain.
“Ramon clocked you in the back of the head.”
“Fucker.”
My lips twitched. “Please tell me you have a plan.”
Danny opened his eyes and flashed his million dollar grin. “I have a plan.”
“Are you just saying that to make me feel better?”
“Would it make you any feel better?”
I pursed my lips and pondered the question, but it was difficult to have a cohesive thought when Danny was in front of me. He was easily the most beautiful man I’d ever laid eyes on. It didn’t matter how often I looked at his face, it never lost its appeal. Danny was a full year older than my thirty three years and incredibly fit. I know I’d joked about his skinny ass the day we met, but the truth was he wasn’t skinny at all. He was just right. His body was lithe, athletic and he worked damn hard to keep himself in shape, unlike me. I was by no means fat, but my body was softer than his, lacked the definition.
“Uh, no,” I replied finally. “Probably not.”
“Then no,” Danny said. “I’m not just telling you that to make you feel better.”
“Well, whatever the plan is now would be a good time to put it into action because we’ve got another fifteen minutes before Ramon comes back and shoots you in the leg.”
Danny grimaced. “I think I would have preferred not knowing that little piece of information.”
“Oops.”
Danny rolled his eyes but his full rosy red lips were stretched into a smile and I knew I’d die a happy man if that was the last thing I got to see.
“When I said I had a plan, I might have been exaggerating slightly.”
I frowned. “What do you mean by slightly?”
“Um, a lot?”
“You don’t have a plan, do you?”
“Define plan.”
“A scheme for achieving an objective.”
“Then no, I don’t have one of those.”
